One of our customers, active in the industrial sector, submitted a concrete request to us: to be able to compare a single job in different laser configuration modes, to quickly and effectively identify the combination of parameters that produces the best result.
Carrying out this task manually would have taken a long time, reducing the efficiency and economic margins of the project. For this reason, the customer asked us for technical support that would simplify and speed up the process.
➡️ THE INTERVENTION OF THE TECHNICIANS: FROM LISTENING TO THE PROBLEM TO DESIGNING THE SOLUTION
Once the request was understood, our technical team took action with the aim of providing a practical and concrete response.
After an analysis of the needs and possible variables at play, we designed an automatic system that would allow us to test the different laser configurations in a systematic, fast and controlled way.
➡️ THE DEVELOPED SOLUTION: AUTOMATED TESTS TO FIND THE BEST RESULT
The laser parameters that influence the final result are numerous: power, frequency, speed, pulse duration, just to name a few.
By combining them in different ways, very different effects can be obtained – from deep marking to satin finishing, from coloring to frosting.
We have developed a dedicated interface that allows you to set a test matrix: each cell of the matrix corresponds to an execution with different laser parameters, defined according to customized rules.
For example, it is possible to vary the frequency from 60 kHz to 120 kHz with a step of 10 kHz, or manually enter the desired values such as 75, 90 or 125 kHz.
Furthermore, multiple parameters can be varied simultaneously (for example frequency and speed), allowing a broader and more effective overview.
The user obtains a grid of processes to analyze visually, with the possibility of immediately identifying which combination produces the best result.
In this way, even those who do not have long experience with laser technology can experiment, learn and choose the optimal setup very quickly.
