The process begins with a high-resolution laser scan of the desired natural surface.
This scan captures every detail of the texture, allowing for an extremely accurate digital representation. Subsequently, the data obtained from the scan is used to create a three-dimensional model of the surface.

The next step is the creation of the mold, which will be used to produce the tiles. Thanks to a specific patent, the Cielle system allows you to faithfully reproduce the surface acquired on a specific material for molding. This material, RFS (Phenolic Resin Layered), was chosen for its excellent strength properties and precision.

Advanced CNC technology

We have developed CNC pantographs that almost automate this process completely, ensuring high precision and productivity.
The CNC machines designed by us are capable of engraving the dies with one fidelityand unprecedented detail, thanks to their advanced technology of numerical control and the ability to work with complex materials.

☑️ Introduction

The production of ceramic tiles that reproduce Natural textures is a growing trend in the ceramic industry. This process allows you to create tiles that faithfully imitate surfaces natural such as tree bark, fabric textures, and stones natural, offering a realistic aesthetic and a unique appeal. The technology advanced and innovative production methods are key to achieving these results. ☑️Texture scanning and digitization process

The first step in creating ceramic tiles with natural texture is the scanning of the surface to be reproduced. This comes made using high resolution laser scanners that capture every surface detail with micrometric precision. The process of scanning involves several stages:

☑️Surface preparation: the natural surface is clean and prepared to ensure all details are captured without interference.

➡️Laser scanning: using 3D laser scanners, the surface is digitized. These scanners emit a laser beam that detects variations in depth and surface characteristics, generating a accurate three-dimensional model.

➡️ Data processing: the collected data is processed using advanced software to create a detailed digital model. This model faithfully represents the natural texture and can be modified and optimized for the production of the mold.

☑️Creation of the Mold

Once the digital model is obtained, we move on to the phase of mold creation. The molds are made using materials specific ones that guarantee resistance and precision. Cielle uses RFS (Resin Stratified Phenolic), which offers excellent mechanical properties and resistance thermal. The mold creation process includes:

➡️ CAD design: the digital model is imported into CAD software for detailed mold design. This passage includes size optimization and definition technical characteristics necessary for production.

➡️CNC machining: using high-quality CNC pantographs precision, the model is engraved on the chosen material. These machines, like those developed by Cielle, they are able to reproduce every detail of the digital model with extreme precision. The numerical control allows almost complete automation of the process, reducing errors to a minimum humans and ensuring constant quality.

➡️Finishing and quality control: after engraving, the mold is subjected to finishing processes to eliminate any imperfections and guarantee its functionality. A rigorous quality control is then carried out to verify that the mold complies with all the technical and quality requirements.

☑️Tile production: with the mold ready, we move on to the production of the tiles ceramic tiles. 

This process involves several phases, including:

➡️ Preparation of the mixture: The ceramic mixture is prepared by mixing clays, feldspars andother raw materials. This dough must have a specific consistency and chemical composition to ensure the quality of the final product.

➡️Moulding: the dough is poured into the mould, which transfers the natural texture to the tile surface. This process can be performed by pressing or casting, depending on desired characteristics of the final product.

➡️Drying and firing: the printed tiles are dried to remove excess moisture, then cooked at high temperatures in ceramic kilns. Firing solidifies the tile and enhances it the mechanical and aesthetic characteristics.

➡️ Surface finish: After firing, the tiles they can be subjected to further finishing treatments, such as enamelling or polishing, to improve the aesthetic appearance and surface resistance.
