✅ Part 1 - Innovation in eyewear production: technology and precision with CIELLE
Eyewear production is a constantly evolving sector, where design, craftsmanship and advanced technology combine to create quality frames.
Over the years, the introduction of CNC and laser machinery has revolutionized the way in which glasses are designed and manufactured, ensuring greater precision, speed and the possibility of customization.
In this context, CIELLE stands out as a point of reference in technological innovation for the eyewear sector, developing CNC machining centers and latest generation laser machines.
With years of experience in the sector, CIELLE has designed machines such as the BETA 65/45 LASER, a highly performing solution that optimizes production times and guarantees impeccable workmanship.
✅ From design to production: the fundamental phases
➡️ Design and Prototyping
The production of glasses begins with the design phase, created with 3D CAD software that allows you to define:
- The shape of the frame and temples
- The most suitable material (acetate, metal, titanium, etc.)
- The ergonomic and functional characteristics
- Customization options such as laser engravings or textures
Once the design is approved, a prototype is made, often with 3D printers, to test fit and proportions before mass production.
➡️ Selection of Materials
- Cellulose acetate: flexible, resistant and ideal for customized coloring
- Metals (steel, titanium, aluminum): perfect for light and thin glasses
- Innovative materials: carbon fibre, wood, bio-plastics for eco-friendly solutions
✅ Frame processing: the role of CNC and laser technology
The production phase involves several steps to transform the material into finished glasses.
➡️ Production in Acetate
- High precision cutting on acetate sheets
- Speed and repeatability of processes for large productions
- Possibility of integrating a second laser head for marking
Thanks to the double cutting and marking function, the BETA 65/45 LASER allows you to drastically reduce processing times, perfectly aligning the marking graphics with the profile of the glasses.
➡️ Metal Production
- CNC laser cutting to obtain the desired shapes
- Precision welding to join the various components
- Surface treatments to improve resistance and finish
